Mostly hidden
In the course of a day the most precious and beautiful moments are generally two things: fleeting and centered around my children.
A long time ago, when I first got on “social media,” I decided I would not post images of my children, would not use them to promote my work, my books, my classes, to gain more followers, to become more popular. (It is true that images of children get more attention and likes, especially adorable babies!)
I did this for many reasons, and some, well researched and sadly proven over time, include the use of these images of children for truly horrible purposes. Too, children once grown up who have been documented on social media can feel their privacy was taken away. The monster of the internet “eats” your images. They no longer belong to you.
